TITLE: Unprepared India? The Real Danger Ahead | #BKBB by RN Bhaskar CHANNEL: RN Bhaskar DATE: 2026-04-24 URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOcWZYjUIlk ---TRANSCRIPT--- Hi, this is Aron Bhaska from Bhaska Business B. It’s a channel that comes to you with policy analysis, business stories, and occasional conversations. But today, we are discussing a policy of grave magnitude. We are talking about options before the government. And this is the second part of a three-part series.

The first one we talked about how India was facing a major crisis and this time we continue with a crisis on various fronts that India is facing. The fact is that India has been hammering bleeding for the past decade. There are lots of areas where India has gone wrong but till now the government kept on saying everything’s all right. But after the Middle East war, suddenly the government has realized that the water is running out and people can see that the government has been swimming naked.

The country is on the verge of being fragmented. Just look at the title. Stalin has threatened to go on an agitation because of the delimitation exercise the government is taking. Fortunately, the women’s bill was sheld because it got defeated in parliament. That was just a skin of the teeth escape for India. Had the bill gone through, it would have been disastrous for India both politically as well as economically which I’ll explain later. At the same time, you have almost all the border states that are up in arms or one issue or the other.

Take Misoram. Misoram was a place where suddenly the government discovered that there were six Ukrainians and one American who earlier was involved in every war scene that America had waged. And what were these seven doing? They were training miso rebels on how to use drones, how to intercept India’s drones and how to use Starlink. Remember Starlink was used during the insurrection in Venezuela. It was used in Iran till Iran found a way to cut out Starling completely. And now they were trying to use it in India. And still India wants to have a pack with Starink for the Indian continent.

India is not worried about losing all the border states. Delimitation is a bad joke and an insult to India. The government should have had the census first and then the delimitation. All the statements that the government has said that no no percentages will not be changed. Why the percentage is not there in the document? Why is it just an oral statement?

There is something which is rotten with the government. And now we’re going to talk about some more areas that should worry everybody. Look at what has happened. delimitation is going to give more power to the northern states and reduce the power of the southern states in spite of the fact that the southern states have had a higher GDP growth a higher revenue contribution to the government and even in milk production because South India did not listen to the government’s cattle slaughter laws.

South India has a 98% growth. North India has a 46% growth and now you want to increase the power of not so efficient squandering backwardlooking states which have beaten up people on communal grounds. You want to give them more power. Are you destroying India? And that is a question that everybody should be asking.

Look at the some some other data as I said first you need census forget that part and let’s look at the next part you want to increase the sens you want to increase the number of MLAs in the government do you know what the other implications are first it’s illegal you have to have the census first the election commission was wrong to allow elections without the census the sir would not be required if the census had already been done.

But there are other implications. Look at MP salaries. Each MP draws three lakhs a month plus perquisites. The perquisites are given like housing, like traveling in air, by air or by train free of cost. This is the salaries that MPs get. Of course, MLAs get a smaller amount of money, but nonetheless, they get money. And this is official money.

Look at the chart which talks are unofficial money. The MP saw growth of around 43% over the last in during the last term while at the state level the MLS saw an increase of around 80%. From where did this money come? Effectively every MP cost the government official salary and it costs India an unofficial salary in the form of corruption. You increase the MPs, you will increase corruption. Till you handle corruption, you should not be increasing MPs also.

Next look at India’s FDI. FDI is going down. Outward FDI is increasing. India has a negative FDI. If that is not enough, do remember that India’s oil and gas policy is causing India so much of pain. Oil and petrol costs and gas costs will increase the bill. Effectively, they’ll be using more foreign exchange for oil and gas. So you have negative FDI.

You also have an increased oil and gas bill. Why? Because India does not have strategic reserves. It has strategic reserves for just 9 and a half days while China has strategic reserves for 6 months. Why couldn’t India increase its strategic reserves when the oil prices are down? Because India was busy playing the communal card. India was playing the divisive card. India was playing all kinds of games to increase the number of MPs.

More legislative time was spent in removing chapters from textbooks. What the government has not done is what it should have done. The war in the Middle East has shown that the government is swimming naked.

Take the other one, your fertilizer bill. Why couldn’t India increase its fertilizer production? We’ve been increasing fertilizer production in the past. Why did you not increase it and remain dependent on imports? Is it because India loves imports? Look at the way P gold tried to allow milk imports. Look at the way we allowed pulses imports, edible all imports and fertilizer imports. Why can’t you produce it in India? You talk at Nirvar but you continue importing.

While India imports fertilizer, look at what China’s done. China exports fertilizers. China is also dependent on imported oil more than India is because India has some oil production. China has none. China also imports oil but it knows when it imports oil, it must first create the important products that are required. And also remember that China is not an agricultural economy. Even though it does not need fertilizer, it produces fertilizer. India needs fertilizers. And we forgotten to increase the production capacity of fertilizers.

Take the next one. You have defense sector. We keep on importing expensive equipment from America. from France and from others. Why? They say this is good equipment. Good. Look at all the western equipment and see how they function in the Iran war and earlier even in the Ukraine war. They failed or they did not work effectively. And India has gone for expensive equipment which didn’t work.

It started with a buff force transaction but buff force was a good gun which is outmatched other guns. Then Rajiv Gandhi imported the western helicopters which is a dud. Modi began well by signing a deal with Russia for S400 systems. But after that look at the deals he’s gone through. Rafal US equipment. Why is India doing it? Does it love importing? Is there some arrangement that you have with countries that export and India keeps importing?

On the other hand, look at what Iran has done. Iran was is supposedly more backward country than India. But look at that. The figures will tell you that Iran the per capita expenditure was much much much lower than America. It was $18 per capita against America’s $4,800 per capita. Also remember Iran has a population that is 900 million people. America is over 350 million. So the $4,800 per capita will multip will be have to be multiplied three times to get the right picture of how much America spends. America is a high cost economy and yet we purchase good from a high cost economy which means you’re paying higher prices. Why can’t India be like Iran developing weapons on its own?

We’ve not even been able to develop an LCN aircraft or its own main battle tank 20 30 40 years and Iran has done all this within a matter of 20 years. It effectively means that India’s policy makers don’t have the same wisdom, foresight and determination that Iran has.

Take the next one. What has a government done actually? Why is everything going wrong? That’s because a government is buying favors with elections with its voters by spending money recklessly. It’s been said spending money so much to such an extent that it has to take money from the RBI and early RB governors said no to the government.

Our Patil resigned. Mashhati Gantadas the previous governor buckled and he gave some money and the present governor Manotra gave even more money. As a result, India does not have enough money in its reserves to even support the rupee and the rupee has been declining and the government in order to get more and more money starts giving taking money even from dividends.

Look at the figures in front of you. 55,000 crores to 60,000 crores were given by PSUs as dividends. What does that mean? It means that public sector units do not have any money left for their own expansion plans, for their own repairs and maintenance. It’s only a matter of time they will also become sick and the government is making them sick.

What this means is the government is doing everything to wreck India. You are almost all the border states have signs of insurrection. Punjab is unhappy. Misoram is in unhappy. Manipur is unhappy. Assam is unhappy and the southern states unhappy. What is the government doing?

India needs to be strong. India is full of bright people. Somehow the vision is lost and the present government is losing its vision day by day.
